Kristen Shickora finished second in the 200 backstroke at the Southeastern Conference Swimming Championships this past weekend and helped the University of Georgia women's swim team earned its third straight SEC title.
Shickora, a Marian Catholic graduate, turned in a time of 1:53.41 in the 200 back finals. She reached the finals by swimming a 1:56.01 in the preliminaries.
The Bulldog senior also took a fouth place in the 100 backstroke. Shickora recorded a 52.55 in the prelims, which was the second fastest in the event. Her time in the finals was 52.79.
