NCAA DI Women's Championship psych sheet released

On Wednesday, NCAA officials released the official psych sheet for the NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships set to take place next month.

Both the men's and women's championships will take place March 15-17 at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, Ala., hosted by Auburn University.

Top local qualifier, LSU junior Amanda Kendall (Robinson High School/Mason Makos) earned bids in the 50 freestyle (21.92), 100 freestyle (47.97), and 100 butterfly (52.48). She is seeded fourth, seventh, and 15th, respectively.

George Mason senior, and CAA's Most Outstanding Swimmer, Ashley Danner (Lake Braddock/Mason Makos) advanced to another NCAA championships in the 100 breaststroke (59.82), 200 breaststroke (2:09.17), and 200 individual medley (1:58.24). She is seeded 13th in both breaststroke events, as well as 22nd in the IM. She will be joined by Arizona junior Ellyn Baumgardner (Fairfax/Curl-Burke) is seeded 11th in the 100 breaststroke (59.79) and 27th in the 200 breaststroke (2:10.73).

Rachael Burnett (Annandale High School/Potomac Marlins), competing for the West Virginia Mountaineers, advanced in the 200, 500, and 1,650 freestyle events. At the Big East Championships, Burnett broke won all three of her individual events, on the way to setting championship records in both the 500 freestyle (4:39.55) and 1,650 freestyle (16:13.94). She was named Most Outstanding Swimmer of the women's meet. She is seeded 12th in the 500 freestyle and 21st in both the 200 and 1,650 freestyle.

Burnett will see, former Oakton and Curl-Burke swimmer, Texas freshman Kaitlin Pawlowicz, who will compete in the 400 individual medley, 500 freestyle, 1,650 freestyle in just her first collegiate season. She is seeded 12th in the 1,650 freestyle (16:07.57), 24th in the 500 freestyle (4:41.28), and 28th in the 400 individual medley (4:11.45).

The men's psych sheet will be released next week following the conclusion of the Pac-12 and Ivy League men's championship meets taking place this weekend.
