Hallie Stupp Transferring to Auburn

Former Arizona Wildcat Hallie Stupp, the last of the trio-of-transfers to make her decision, will at least have a familiar face in her new home. That's because she'll be joining former teammate Aubrey Peacock in the SEC, swimming for Brett Hawke and Auburn.

With this move, Stupp actually scores one back for the Tigers. Her older sister Julie once upon a time transferred from Auburn to Arizona (though neither of the two head coaches were in their current roles at the time).

As for the younger Stupp upon who we'll focus, she's a former Missouri High School State Champion and was a phenomenal recruit coming out of high school. She's got good size (6-feet tall) and still has a ton of potential to get her career back on the right track with her two remaining seasons of eligibility.

She's very versatile, with bests of 54.6 in the 100 fly and 56.2 in the 100 back. She's also been a 50.58 in the 100 freestyle, though that was done during her junior year of high school. If anybody can reignite her ability to sprint and get to top-end speed, one would imagine it would be Brett Hawke.

Between this transfer, Peacock's, the news this week that Micah Lawrence would be returning to school next year, and Tyler McGill earning a spot as Hawke's first American Olympian, this is a program with some serious momentum.
