"Our team did very well," Central Mountain coach, Carol Matheny said. "We had some personal best times and we're just really starting the season. The team is really meshing together as a unit. “I’m very happy all around with our performance."
The energy continued as Benjamin Jones and Jordan Suter placed first and second in the 500 Freestyle, while Phil Rodo and Brandon Kiblershowed a solid performance by placing first and second in their 100 Backstroke. Huntingdon countered by placing first in the 100 Breaststroke – out touching CM swimmers Benjamin Jones and Tyler Sheets who placed 2-3 respectively. Leading by only 5 points into the final event the CM team of Suter, Sheets, Jones and Kibler solidified the win by placing first in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
The Central Mountain girls had a spectacular meet, showing off their strength, however fell short of a win. The Medley Relay consisting of Salmon, Worden, Shultz, Williams earned the Wildcats some points by placing second, followed by Caitlyn Probst who placed first in her 200 Freestyle. Impressive swims in the 500 Freestyle as senior Rachel Sackett placed first while teammate Hannah Worden earned a third place spot.

Right from the start, the Central Mountain boys took first in both the medley relay (team of Rodo, Sheets, Suter and Jones) and the 200 freestyle by Tyler Sheets, putting CM ahead 6 points. Huntingdon answered back in the next two events, placing first in the 200 IM and out touching CM freshmen, Brandon Kibler in the 50 Free. It was up to CM to get the momentum back and put some more points up on the board. Teammates Jordan Suter and Nolan Dale responded, closing the gap between the two teams by placing first in the 100 Fly and 100 Freestyle respectively.

"The way the meet started I thought we were going to get the boys," Matheny said. “We were pretty much matched up head-to-head against them.” “ It all came down to the last relay.” “As a coach I was very pleased with my swimmers for their hard work throughout the meet, taking the places that they needed and even swimming events that are not their specialties.”
