Indiana University's Allysa Vavra was named the Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season after posting victories in all of her individual races against Purdue on Jan. 21.
Vavra, a Panther Valley High School graduate, took first in the 1,000 freestyle (9:51.23), a time that ranks in the top 20 nationally. Her win in the 200 breaststroke came with an NCAA provisional time of 2:15.67. Vavra then added a win in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:03.84.
